About the 3D Centre

The 3D Centre was established in 2004 by Dr Mary Howard, an experienced teacher and occupational therapist with additional qualifications in teaching children and adults with Specific Learning Difficulties – Dyslexia (RSA Diploma, Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association), physical disabilities (Dip. P.H, University of London Institute of Education), Developmental Co-ordination Disorder/Dyspraxia (Post Graduate Certificate, University of Wales, Newport) and Handwriting (Post Graduate Certificate, University of London Institute of Education).  She holds a Practising Certificate for Assessment of Specific Learning Difficulties, is a Certified Provider for The Listening Programme® and has trained in the Ruth Miskin Literacy Programme.

Mary Mary has extensive experience as a Support Teacher and Special Needs Co-ordinator. She has been a tutor on a Certificate Course in Specific Learning Difficulties for teachers for the past five years.  She is a member of the national committee of the National Handwriting Association and secretary of West Yorkshire PATOSS.

In January 2000 she set up an independent consultancy support service to schools.  Requests for assessment and tuition from parents led to the founding of The 3D Centre.

The Centre provides group and individual tuition for children and adults with reading, spelling, handwriting, numeracy and co-ordination difficulties.

All teachers and therapists at The 3D Centre are qualified and experienced in working with children and adults with Specific Learning Difficulties.
